KENCHIC LIMITED RECEIVES FOOD SAFETY SYSTEM RE-CERTIFICATION 22000 (FSSC 22000)

Kenchic Limited has received the Food Safety System Certification 22000 (FSSC 22000) from SGS after undergoing a successful re-certification process. The Company was the first in Kenya to attain the accreditation in 2011, which is renewed after every three years.

SGS is a multinational company with headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland which provides inspection, verification, testing and certification services.

The FSSC 22000 is recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and is the most comprehensive food safety management system which incorporates ISO 22000. This covers key requirements for food safety standards including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), SQF (Safe Quality Foods), and GlobalGAP.
